Argan oil is an extract produced from the kernels of the Argan tree (Argania Spinosa), which only grows in parts of Morocco. Argan oil is cold-pressed in the traditional manner. Argan oil is also called “Moroccan gold”.
Due to its composition is considered a miracle of nature. Argan oil contains 80% unsaturated fatty acids (omega 3 and omega 6) which helps to nourish and soften the skin. Unsaturated fatty acids together with phytosterols help to maintain a sufficient amount of collagen in the skin and therefore prevent drying and withering of the skin.
Because of fat soluble vitamin E it also has a strong antioxidant properties protecting the skin from harmful free radicals, thereby slowing down the skin‘s aging process associated with wrinkle formation. Argan Oil contains unique components such as squalene, carotenoids, sterols and polyphenols.
Due to its composition there are the following cosmetic properties attributed to Argan oil such as anti-inflammatory, healing and strong anti-aging effects.
